  3. Hi David,

Sounds like an interesting coin you have. How did you come by it? What you’re describing is a Wrong Planchet error coin. A search at Mint Error News’ price guide shows a number of Quarters on Nickel planchets. The values seem to range from $100 to $750.

  4. I have a 1943 mercury dime with a wheat penny back. there are ridges from the dime edge around part of the penny so I cant see how it could have been spliced together. Only the rim of the penny is missing and the words run perfectly along the edge. I want to know more about it.
